Toshiba has introduced world’s first 4K laptops

Toshiba at CES 2014, on Tuesday has introduced world’s first ever 4K laptops. Tecra W50 and Satellite P50t will have full Ultra-HD displays, running on Windows 8.1 Operating System. Company hasn’t revealed any pricing or availability time frame. Microsoft has also pointed this out the announcement “Today Toshiba has made 4K display technology more accessible to mobile professionals and enthusiasts by announcing two exciting new Windows 8.1 laptops that feature integrated 15.6″ 4K Ultra-HD displays. These new Toshiba 4K laptops will take laptop screen resolution to the next level!”, on their official blog.


Tecra W50 models is specifically designed for professionals, having NVIDIA Quadro K2100M grapics with 2 GB dedicated memory, it can work with really heavy applications. It has got 4th generation Intel core processor, and a 15.6” 4K Ultra HD display (3840 x 2160), 282 ppi, color calibrated display.


While the other model Satellite P50t, has got t same display and resolution, as Tecra W50. But it has got touch functionality integrated in it. The 4K Ultra-HD screen also features edge-to-edge glass with vibrant colour, crystal clarity, and higher contrast. Incidentally Toshiba didn’t reveal any of the specifications for the P50t.
